The Woman in Black

The Woman in Black
is an eerie and chilling ghost story about a young solicitor sent to a remote house to wind up the affairs of a recently deceased woman. He pieces together her strange reclusive life but with what effect on his own? Unanimously acclaimed by the critics, Stephen Mallatratt’s adaptation of Susan Hill’s best-selling novel provides the audiences with an evening of unremitting drama as they are transported into a terrifying and ghostly world.

Following the performance you’ll enjoy a traditional Fish & Chip supper at the renowned Livebait restaurant in nearby Wellington Street. Then tread in the footsteps of the infamous Jack the Ripper down the dark, narrow, gas lit alleyways. You’ll follow the case of the unsolved Whitechapel murders that would lead Scotland Yard to Queen Victoria herself.

Led by one of the renowned Blue Badge Guides, you’ll visit four murder sights. Our ‘Ripperologist’ will run through some of the suspects who sparked a Victorian whodunit that’ll leave you as gripped as its victims. Experience the sights, the smells, and the sounds of London’s darker side if you dare!

Comfortable walking shoes and a strong stomach are strongly recommended!

Through the Stage Door

A unique London attraction, Through the Stage Door is an exciting site-specific tour of one of the country’s oldest and most magnificent theatres. The rich and chequered history of the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane is brought vividly back to life as key characters, writers and actors from the theatre’s 338-year history take visitors back in time.

Since its construction in 1663, this theatre has triumphed over tragedy, fire, bankruptcy and even murder. The informative and entertaining tour explores the theatre’s royal retiring rooms, as well as the intriguing backstage areas including the rarely seen under stage hydraulics.

This is a chance to see theatre literally come alive - a magical theatrical experience and unlike any other tour.

You are invited to be part of history with a visit to the Bramah Tea & Coffee museum followed by a performance of a timeless theatrical classic, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap.

Explore 400 years of the social and commercial history of the world’s most important beverages, brought to life in London’s only museum dedicated to the world’s traditional teas and coffees. The ceremony of English afternoon tea which the British popularise throughout the world has in recent years been taken much too much for granted. It is a ceremony made possible by the use of leaf teas, which are infused for five minutes. Enjoy quality leaf teas and freshly ground coffees (all available in the Museum shop) in traditional surroundings that additionally offer cream teas and cakes.

Then take your seat at the world’s longest running stage production Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen on 25 November 2002.

The Mousetrap has been performed in 44 countries throughout the world. The record-breaking Londonproduction has spanned eleven American Presidents and ten British Prime Ministers and continues to enthral, to entertain and to thrill audiences still flocking to London’s St. Martin’s Theater from every corner of the globe.
