Penny Lane and many more. Train departs at 17:45hrs

Paris
Overnight (Tour CB5 & CB6)
Please check in by 5.45am for
your departure of 6:34am and meet the Golden Tours
representative at the welcome desk on the main concourse
at Waterloo International. It takes 2hrs 35mins
to reach Paris with train speeds up to 186mph.
On arrival in Paris
you will be met by our guide who will take you on
a fully guided Paris sightseeing tour on a luxury
air-conditioned coach where you can see all the
major sights |

| including Champs-Elysées,
Arch de Triomphe and Chaillot Palace. Entrance to the
Eiffel Tower is also included to the second floor. |
Starting from the Eiffel Tower you
can enjoy this unique 1 hour cruise aboard a glass-sided
boat on the river Seine. Your guide leaves you after the
cruise, then you can explore Paris at your leisure or
check into your hotel. The taxi to your hotel will be
at your own expense.
The whole day is free for you to explore. Your train is
normally booked for around 20:43 arriving in London at
22:43 local time. You should arrive at Gare du Nord at
least 45 minutes before the train departure time.

Quick Look at Britain

Departing at 07:45am we travel
north to Cambridge where we enjoy a walking tour
before departing for York, famous for its Minster,
Roman remains, and city walls where we have a guided
walking tour. We continue through Herriot Country
and Thirsk into County Durham, land of the Prince
Bishops, arriving at our hotel early evening. Overnight

We pass Durham on the way to the
Border Country, where we view a Border Abbey ruin. Reaching
Edinburgh, we enjoy a sightseeing tour including the Royal
Mile and Edinburgh Castle. An optional Scottish Evening

This morning we drive South West from Edinburgh through
the rolling hills of the borders to reach the border at
Gretna Green, which famous for its runaway marriages.
Then we drive to Lake District, one of the most beautiful
parts of England. After lunch in Grasmere we will see
several of the Lakes before driving to Liverpool, here
you will have free time to independently visit The Caven
or The Beatles Story. Overnight Holiday Inn Liverpool
(or similar) 3*
Our last day starts with a lovely drive into The County
of Cheshire. The City of Chester is the only city to have
a medieval wall all the way around. A walking tour takes
us on part of the wall to see some of the Roman remains
and also the world famous Rows – these are double Decker
rows of Tudor shops. Time for shopping before driving
to Stoke to visit Wedgewood pottery. We will arrive back
in London around 6:30 pm. |
