Pre-order duty free now available with Sunwing

Sunwing Vacations is pleased to announce that the convenience and savings of duty free shopping are now available on its website, www.sunwing.ca.

The Sunwing Duty-Free Online Catalogue delivers to travellers the complete catalogue shopping experience prior to their international flight. Enjoying savings up to 40 per cent off suggested retail prices, passengers can determine in advance their duty free selections for both southbound and northbound flights.

Instead of waiting to purchase duty free on board, Sunwing clients have the option to pre-order their favourite items weeks in advance from the comfort of their home. All customers have to do is visit the Sunwing website at www.sungwing.ca and click on “e-tickets” located on the home page, and, using their booking number, access the catalogue.

“The online catalogue is very user friendly,” says Daryl McWilliams, vice-president of sales and marketing for Sunwing. “Customers can browse through it and even ask to have a Remind Me email sent to them just before their flight. When passengers use our easy pre-order system, they don’t have to worry about picking up their purchase prior to boarding – it will be delivered right to their seats on the aircraft.”

The selections include top-selling liquor brands and the newest in fragrances and cosmetics as well as jewelry and watches, sunglasses and chocolates. The program also offers fifteen Sunwing Travel Exclusives gift packs that cannot be purchased in local stores.

“As well, with the Buy Before You Fly program, we have incorporated for the first time some promotional ‘gift-with-purchase’ items such as a martini cocktail booklet which comes free with Bombay Sapphire Gin and a mohito muddler with Bacardi Rum pre-order sales,” adds McWilliams. Another advantage is that customers’ credit cards are not charged until after the delivery on their flight, even though the items may have been ordered weeks in advance.

The Remind Me email option is the latest feature to simplify duty-free shopping and the service even highlights the latest specials.
