DAY 1

DAY 2
SANTIAGO, PROVINCE OF VERAGUAS
After breakfast visit Atalaya known as the town of “Jesus of Nazareth”. Thousands of
people visit this quaint location every year for the first Sunday of lent. Atalaya Church is
likely the most famous church in Panama, frequented by more Panamanians annually
than any other church in the country. Visit to Basilica of Nata said to be the oldest church
in all colonial America. Stop in Santiago, a city located in the heart of Veraguas province.

DAY 3
VOLCAN AND CERRO PUNTA, PROVINCE OF CHIRIQUI
After breakfast travel to town of Volcan. Located in the district of Bugaba, Volcan is a
picturesque town located 57 km from the city of David. Both, Volcan and Cerro Punta are
known for its climate, diverse vegetation plantations of Panaflowers, fruit and vegetable
farms, as well as purebred horse stables. Next is a visit to the Hotel Bambito. Restored to
its original beauty, this older hotel overlooking expansive valleys and mountains offers a
wonderful photo opportunity. Carry on to an internationally known purebred horse farm,
Haras of Cerro Punta and enjoy a special exhibition. Finca Dracula (orchids): Beauty doesn’t
come easy, and this is no exception as the last half mile of the road is a gentle slope, but due
to the rocks on the way, too uneven for the bus to drive up! An easy walk, but the bus driver

DAY 4
BOQUETE, PROVINCE OF CHIRIQUI
Visit the picturesque town of Boquete after breakfast. Enjoy the town’s friendliness,
beautiful landscape and gardens. The place is also famous for its annual flower and coffee
fair. A quick visit to the town of Valle Escondido located in this beautiful valley and tour its
church and amphitheatre. Translated as “My garden is your garden”, “Mi Jardin es su jardin”
is a tranquil and beautiful garden that has been referred to as the present day Garden of
Eden and heralded as the most famous flower garden in Panama. Next, enjoy the tour of
Coffee Farm and learn about the whole process of coffee cultivation and processing. OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL VALLE DEL RIO OR SIMILAR
DAY 5
CHITRE, PROVINCE OF HERRERA
Depart after breakfast for Chitre. Stop and visit the Museum of Herrera. Experience a
wide gamut of Panama’s past and present. There is an ecological area full of samples of
flora and fauna of the region including prehistoric archaeological exhibition. Stop in La

DAY 6
LAS TABLAS AND PEDASI, PROVINCE OF LOS SANTOS
After breakfast it’s off to Las Tablas, the capital city of Los Santos, known as the place
that gave birth to the national folklore and its carnivals. Tour Iguana Island in the district
of Pedasi. These 16 hectares of coral reef are the largest in the gulf of Panama, and boast
the diversity of approx. 542 species of fish along with 11 species of corals. The alternate
option to the above is a full day at The Playita Resort beachfront eco-resort, complete
with a beautiful beach, bar, restaurant and relaxing bohios.

DAY 7
ANTON VALLEY, PROVINCE OF COCLE
Depart after breakfast for Anton Valley situated at 600m above the sea level and two
hours away from Panama City. This spectacular valley surrounded by mountains offers
breathtaking scenery of the area abundant in flora, fauna and beautiful waterfalls.
Visit a picturesque Artesan crafts market featuring fresh produce, beautiful plants, art
and handiwork by the local Guaymie indigenous community. View the spectacular
35 m in height El Macho waterfall. Tour Jardin El Nispero Botanical Garden and Zoo. The
garden is known for cultivation of plants and exotic flowers, foreign species of birds and
animals. Visit mountain-fed Hot Springs. It is said that these springs have therapeutic
and curative effects for certain ailments.
