DAY 1
PUERTO VALLARTA ARRIVAL .
Arrival at Puerto Vallarta airport. Welcome in arrival hall and transfer to your overnight hotel.

DAY 2
PUERTO VALLARTA – TEQUILA - MORELIA.
We depart in the morning from Puerto Vallarta towards the inland of Mexico. On the way, we have a stop in the village of Tequila, home of the great Mexican tradition of the Tequila liquor. Enjoy a visit to a local Tequila distillery, discover from where this tasty beverage comes from and how the base products are processed to result in this Mexican tradition. Continue the afternoon to drive through an interesting mountain landscape to finally reach Morelia, a wonderful colonial city, and transfer to you host hotel. Evening at leisure.

OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL ARANZAZÚ VIADUCTO 3* OR SIMILAR
 
DAY 3
QUIROGA, TZIN TZUN TZAN & PÁTZCUARO.
Breakfast at hotel included. A morning departure towards Patzcuaro Lake, to reach the wonderful villages of Quiroga and Tzin Tzun Tzan, we will see the amazing churches, as well as the handcrafted art in wood and ceramic, which is typical for all the region of Michoacan. In the afternoon visit to Patzcuaro, a provincial colonial town with deep roots in Indian traditions, merged with colonial influence. During your city walk, see both main squares, the House of the 11 Patios, as well as wonderful religious art in churches and the people’s expression in their handcraft. Return to host hotel. Evening at leisure.

DAY 4
MEXICO CITY.

MORELIA – MAGICAL VILLAGES – TEOTIHUACÁN – MEXICO CITY.
Breakfast at hotel included. An early departure from Morelia we drive toward the heartland of pre-Hispanic Toltec & Aztec culture. After an approximately two hour ride, we reach Tlalpajahua and El Oro villages, which have a rich past in mines with a historical tiny village atmosphere for an interesting stop. We approach Teotihuacán and its majestic archaeological site with the so called Citadel, Quetzalcoatl Temple, Road of the Death, Pyramids of the Sun & Moon, Palace of Quetzalpapalotl and Jaguar Temple, among others. You will understand the meaning of “City where the Gods where created”. Arrival to host hotel and evening at leisure.

OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL METROPOL 3* OR SIMILAR
 
DAY 5.
ANTROPOLOGY MUSEUM & HISTORICAL CENTER.
Breakfast at hotel included. A morning drive along Mexico City’s elegant Reforma Boulevard and a stop at the monument of the Independence (“The Angel”). We reach the area of Chapultepec Park for a visit of the worldwide famous National Museum of Antropology (mondays closed) with a guided walk through the main exhibition rooms of pre-Hispanic cultures. Afternoon visit to the historical center of Mexico City: Reforma Boulevard with monuments, Zocalo main square, Cathedral, National Palace and view on former Aztec Main Temple, among others. We visit the wonderful La Ciudadela, a handcraft market, full of inspiration in colors and materials. Return to host hotel and evening at leisure.

DAY 6
VIA SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE & ATOTONILCO TO GUANAJUATO.
Breakfast at hotel included. We leave Mexico City towards Guanajuato. After approximately two hours we reach the colonial area of Mexico. Visit here the wonderful town of San Miguel de Allende, a colorful and artistic place, famous for its neoclassical La Parroquia church facing the tiny main square. Visit on route the small sanctuary church of Atotonilco, a baroque jewel of religious art in paintings and altars. We reach city of Guanajuato and your host hotel and evening at leisure.

OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL PASEODE LA PRESA 3* OR SIMILAR
 
DAY 7
GUANAJUATO – TLAQUEPAQUE – GUADALAJARA.
Breakfast at hotel included. Morning visit to Guanajuato, colorfully nestled in a narrow valley, counting with beautiful colonial architecture in churches, streets and squares. Drive then to Guadalajara to visit the village of Tlaquepaque, full of Mexican art and handcraft. Arrival to host hotel and evening at leisure.

OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL ARANZAZÚ CATEDRAL 3* OR SIMILAR
DAY 8
GUADALAJARA – PUERTO VALLARTA!
Breakfast at hotel included. A morning visit to the historical center of Guadalajara there we will visit the Cathedral, Governor’s Palace and Cabañas Institute, among others. We then transfer you to Puerto Vallarta airport for your homebound flight.
