ZIHUATANEJO - URUAPAN - PÁTZCUARO.
Early departure from Zihuatanejo for Morelia. En route visit the town of Uruapan, Mexico’s capital of avocado production, founded in the 13th century by Tarasca Indians. With the conquering of Mexico, Uruapan turned slowly into a colonial town, with its typical red-white houses and picturesque squares, known as the narrow houses of Mexico. Continue to Pátzcuaro. Evening at leisure.

DAY 3
PÁTZCUARO - JANITZIO Breakfast included. Morning visit to Pátzcuaro, a provincial colonial town with deep roots in Indian traditions, merged with colonial influence. Enjoy a city walk and see both main squares, the House of the 11 Patios, as well as wonderful religious art in churches and the people’s expression in their handcraft. Afternoon boat ride on Pátzcuaro Lake to reach the tiny island of Janitzio for a visit. Climb the Morelos monument on the island’s hill and enjoy a great view of the marvelous landscape. PÁTZCUARO - GUANAJUATO.

Proceed to San Miguel de Allende and visit this colorful and artistic place, famous for its neoclassical La Parroquia Church facing the tiny main square. Arrive at hotel. Remainder of day at leisure. SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE - CUITZEO - MORELIA.
